Everything you need to know
EasyBoda is community-owned. Riders and passengers literally own the platform through blockchain tokens. We charge only 10% commission vs 25-30% for others, and riders can build long-term wealth through token ownership.
Passengers make price offers when requesting rides. Riders can accept, reject, or counter-offer. Stages set minimum acceptable rates to maintain fair pricing. It's like a digital version of how boda negotiations work in real life - transparent and fair for both sides.
The app shows you the typical price range for your route based on stage rates. If your offer is too low, you'll be prompted to increase it. Fair offers usually get accepted within 45 seconds. The system encourages honest pricing from both sides.
Not at all! The app works just like any other ride app. Tokens work behind the scenes. You can always use cash or mobile money. The crypto part just ensures transparency and ownership.
We're starting at Kira Stage in Kampala in Q1 2025. We'll expand to other Kampala stages by Q2, then to other Ugandan cities. Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda expansion planned for Year 2.
